JARED OKUN, MANAGING PARTNER
Jared Okun joined Fortified Property Group in 2017, bringing over a dozen years of experience in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, asset management, and leasing. Jared’s career has centered on acquisitions and raising non-institutional capital for commercial real estate transactions, in addition to brokering third party deals.
Prior to joining Fortified, Jared spearheaded acquisitions at Rock Creek Property Group, a Washington, DC-based real estate investment fund, and focused on deploying capital for their Real Estate Opportunity Funds I and II. While at Rock Creek, Jared aided in the acquisition of several assets and disposed of more than $90 million of properties. In addition to acquisitions at Rock Creek, he assisted other real estate developers to acquire over $250 million of assets in classes including multifamily, warehouse, and shopping centers.
Before joining Rock Creek, Jared was the Director of Acquisitions at UniStar Properties, a Bethesda, Maryland-based owner of large industrial and biotech properties along the east coast. Under Jared’s direction, UniStar acquired over $70 million in assets.
Jared is a licensed real estate agent in the greater Washington, DC area and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science and Law from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002. Jared is also actively involved with the Jewish Federation of Washington and Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity.
Jared currently lives in Potomac, Maryland with his wife and their three daughters.
Michael Rabin, MANAGING PARTNER
Michael Rabin leads Fortified Property Group with over 20 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, asset management, property management and leasing. Throughout his career Michael has worked on transactions in excess of $1.5 billion consisting of direct property acquisitions/dispositions, REO and note acquisitions and joint venture equity transactions, with investments varying across the risk spectrum, property type and geographical location.
From 2007-2014, Michael served as Director of Investments for MCM Equities LLC, a closely-held private real estate investment firm located in New York City. Michael was responsible for all aspects of MCM's real estate investment activities, including the oversight of a diversified portfolio of investments.
Prior to joining MCM Equities LLC, Michael worked at Allied Partners, a New York based owner, developer and operator of commercial properties, where he was responsible for assisting in all aspects of the firm's acquisitions and asset management activities.
Michael received his MS in Real Estate, with a concentration in Finance, from New York University as well as a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Michael is actively involved with AIPAC, the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles and an alumni of it’s Community Leadership Institute as well as serves on the board at The Maggy Haves School.
Michael currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
